“Passing of the Duck” marks a new chapter as Columbus ISD superintendent Dr. Chris Carpenter (left) was welcomed to Columbus by retiring CISD superintendent Jim Connor and Columbus Education Foundation board members Rebecca Edmiston and Phillip Garcia. All four participated in the “duck drop” of 3,500 rubber ducks into the Colorado River at the recent Duck Derby.
