The City of Eagle Lake hosted its annual Texas Trash-Off on Saturday, June 6.
The citywide initiative helps keep Eagle Lake clean and provides residents with an opportunity to dispose of bulky items such as tree limbs and old furniture.
In addition to volunteers, business owners and city employees, newly elected Mayor Anthony Johnson and Alderman Billy Sosa rolled up their sleeves and worked alongside participants throughout the event.
In a Facebook post, city officials thanked GFL Environmental for its support.
“Their team was on-site at the Community Center with equipment, machinery and manpower to help make this event a success,” the post stated.
