Columbus ISD Renovations Ribbon Cutting Wednesday, June 24 | 5–7 p.m. | Columbus Elementary, 1324 Bowie St | Columbus These renovations represent a continued investment in the future of the students, staff, and community. Following the ribbon cutting, the public is invited to attend Open Houses at all CISD campuses from 5:00–7:00 PM to explore the improvements and see the exciting updates firsthand.

Patriotic Paint and Sip Friday, June 26 | 7 p.m. | The Rez 1908, 312 E Main St | Eagle Lake We’ll be painting a festive patriotic door hanger — the perfect handmade decoration to add some red, white & blue charm to your home! No experience needed — we’ll provide the supplies, stencils, and everything you need to create something you’ll be proud to hang. $40 per person.

Fossils Rock with BK Bones

Splashway July 4 Bash

Wednesday, July 1 through Saturday, July 4 | Splashway Waterpark, 5211 Main St | Sheridan Join the celebratory fun with patriotic games, music challenges, trivia, eating contests, water activities, and family competitions at Ray’s Fun Zone. Eagle Lake Freedom Festival Friday, July 3 | 9 a.m. – midnight | downtown Eagle Lake The festival will include 10 different events throughout Eagle Lake and the downtown square: courtesy airport shuttle service, barbecue cook-off (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), pet parade (9 a.m.), golf scramble (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.), car show (4–7 p.m.), cornhole tournament (5–6:30 p.m.), market and sip ‘n shop (5 p.m. – midnight), live music (6:30 p.m. – midnight) and the famous fireworks show (9:15 p. m.).

Columbus 4th of July Fireworks Show Saturday, July 4 | 9:15 p.m. | Columbus Golf Course, 139 Veterans Drive | Columbus Join the Columbus Chamber of Commerce for Columbus’ 4th of July Fireworks Show as we celebrate 250 Years of Freedom with an unforgettable night of fireworks lighting up the sky! Please note: Memorial Stadium will not be open for viewing. Restrooms at the Columbus Golf Course will be closed.

Taste of Columbus

Thursday, July 9 | 6 p.m. | Boys and Girls Club, 1368 Highway 71 Business | Columbus Teams consisting of three members from a local business or organization will compete for top appetizer dessert! Guests will also have the chance to bid on some great local finds in our live and silent auctions, all while enjoying live music. Tickets are $20 per adult and $10 per child 12 and under.
