FRIDAY, MARCH 20
At approximately 1:40 a.m., deputy Navarro was dispatched to the 4100 block of US Highway 90A regarding a harassment complaint. After further investigation, Thomas Knight, 35, of Halletsville, was arrested for failure to identify, giving false/fictitious info. The case was cleared by arrest.
SATURDAY, MARCH 21
At approximately 7:47 a.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 3600 block of Hwy 90A, Columbus, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, enough information was gathered to generate a report. Case active.
At approximately 1:47 p.m., deputy Thomas observed an abandoned vehicle, located on CR 121 near CR 123, Garwood, Tx. With the vehicle and trailer parked on a public roadway abandoned, a report was generated and the vehicle and trailer were removed from the roadway. Case closed by vehicle impoundment.
At approximately 12:26 p.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 7000 block of IH-10 Frontage Road, Benardo, in reference to a wanted person. On arrival, he met with the wanted person, identified as Randy Decarl Giles, 43, of Katy, Tx, who was arrested on a warrant issued by Colorado County. Case cleared by adult arrest.
MONDAY, MARCH 23
to the 1500 block of San Felipe Road, New Ulm, in reference to a disturbance.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., deputy Moulder was advised of a possible fraud located at the 100 block of N McCarty Ave in Eagle Lake. Information was received and a report was taken.
TUESDAY, MARCH 24
At approximately 6:45 a.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to IH-10 West bound near the 698 exit in reference to a motor vehicle accident. After investigation, Jose Ramiro Perez, 32, of Houston, was arrested for fail to identify giving false/fictitious information - misdemeanor B. case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 11:11 a.m., deputy Lopez was dispatched to a residence in Columbus, Tx, in reference to a male subject in an altered mental status. The male subject also had medical problems that were serious in which he was neglecting. The male subject was later transported to a hospital for immediate treatment.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25
At approximately 6:48 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to 905 Brazos St, Glidden, in reference to a terroristic threat. Upon further investigation, no threat was made, only a verbal altercation had taken place. A criminal trespass warning was issued and signed by both involved parties. Case closed by report.
At approximately 10:43 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 4400 block of Hwy 90, Alleyton, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation a criminal trespass warning was requested. A criminal trespass warning was issued and signed. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, MARCH 26
At approximately 10:43 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 4400 block of US Hwy 90, Alleyton, in reference to a disturbance. During the investigation of the disturbance, an assault was reported. The suspect of the assault had already left the scene but was identified, and a warrant for their arrest has been requested. Case open pending warrant approval and arrest.
At approximately 6:47 p.m., deputy Johnson was dispatched to the 2100 block of FM 949, Alleyton, in reference to a theft call. After an investigation a report was taken.
SATURDAY, MARCH 28
At approximately 12:00 a.m., deputy Smith conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Hwy 90A in Altair, Tx. After further investigation, the driver, Aurelia Knesek, 57, of Garwood, was arrested for DWLI. The case is cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 11:00 p.m., deputy Smith conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Hwy 90, Borden, Tx. After further investigation, the driver, Kaycee Goodwin, 30, of Weimar, was arrested for DWLI. The case is cleared by arrest.
SUNDAY, MARCH 29
At approximately 3:21 p.m., deputy Schoppe was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 202, Weimar, in reference to a disturbance. A report was completed.
At approximately 8:24 p.m., deputy Navarro was dispatched to 600 Austin Road, Eagle Lake (Rice Medical Center), in reference to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred at the 1100 block of Lostwood Lane, Garwood, Tx. After further investigation, information was gathered to generate a report. Information report.
MONDAY, MARCH 30
At approximately 8:56 a.m., deputy Thomas observed an abandoned vehicle, located in the 1000 block of Old Alleyton Road, Alleyton, Tx. A report was generated, with the vehicle removed from the roadway and entered into TCIC/NCIC as stored/abandoned. This case was closed and for information only.
At approximately 10:57 a.m., deputy Chapa was dispatched to the 8300 block of Hwy 71 S, Garwood, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, enough information was gathered to generate this report. Case active.
At approximately 10:22 p.m., deputy Byars was notified via dispatch of a stolen vehicle pursuit entering Colorado County from Austin County. After further investigation, enough information was gathered on scene to generate a case report. Case cleared.
TUESDAY, MARCH 31
At approximately 1:08 p.m., deputy Lopez was contacted by CPD who was requesting assistance with a female subject experiencing an altered mental status. It was determined that the female was a danger to herself and others. The female was transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., deputy Pavlicek conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Fannin St and Preston St in Columbus, Tx. After further investigation, Alyssa Emmons, 22, of Columbus, was taken into custody and charged with fraudulent use/ possession of identifying information - 2nd degree Felony. Case cleared by adult arrest.
