Vacation Bible School at Frelsburg Baptist in July

Frelsburg Baptist Church will host their Vacation Bible School July 6-10. This year’s theme is “Illumination Station,” and class times will be 9 a.m. - noon daily.

Frelsburg Baptist Church is located at 1839 FM 109 in Frelsburg.

Oquendo new Youth Pastor in Frelsburg Frelsburg Baptist Church welcomes Jason Oquendo as the new Worship/Youth Pastor. Oquendo is a 2026 graduate of Houston Christian University, and his ordination will be soon, most likely in July.

Jason is engaged to Celia Mellett (pictured). Celia is entering her Senior year at Houston Christian University and is planning to graduate a semester early (Dec. 2026).

Frelsburg is looking to grow its attendance for the younger members of the community. Church officials said over the last two years, the church has grown.

In 2025, Frelsburg Baptist had its first VBS in several years and had near record turnout of 13 participants. The public is invited to attend this year’s VBS set for July 6-10.
