Eagle Lake City Pool opens July 3

EAGLE LAKE — The Eagle Lake City Pool will open for the summer season at noon Friday, July 3, following a delayed opening caused by a shortage of certified lifeguards.

City Secretary Lina Ferguson said the pool’s opening was pushed back from June because of a limited number of lifeguard applicants.

“After completing the application and screening process, all selected applicants are required to successfully complete their lifeguard certification before the pool can safely open,” Ferguson said.

The pool will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Adult Night will be held Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., and Family Night is scheduled for Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Admission is $3 per person. Children ages 2 and younger will be admitted free with a paying adult.

Season passes are available for $40 per person, $65 for two fami ly members and $85 for families of three or more.

The pool is also available to rent for private parties. Two-hour rentals for up to 40 guests with two lifeguards cost $200, while parties of 41 to 75 guests with three lifeguards are $300.
