The Weimar Major All-Star baseball team played six games, finishing the 2026 season with a 4-2 record.

This team was one of the smallest in size and number but showed great determination in the four games they played.

They started their season facing Rice Little League. The game started with Weimar jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.

They then extended their lead by two more runs in the second inning and carried a 5-0 lead into the third. Rice’s offense surged in the fourth and fifth inning of the game, scoring three total runs.

Weimar was able to hold off Rice’s offense though and secured the 5-3 victory to start their season.

In game two of the season, Weimar took on Sealy and once again they came away with a win. Weimar’s offense shined brightly early in the game again as they held onto a 10-0 lead by the end of the third inning.

In the top of the fourth inning, Weimar scored once more to make the score 11-0 and then Sealy scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth. With the score sitting at 11-2 in the fifth inning, Weimar drove the nail into the coffin by scoring two runs to arrive at the final score of 13-2.

Game three was not the best outing for Weimar as they were defeated by Washington County by a score of 14-0. In game four though, Weimar bounced back with another win.

They faced Sealy for the second time in the tournament. This time the score was much closer. Weimar scored the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the second inning, but Sealy quickly tied the game in the top of third.

In the bottom of the third, Weimar broke the tie and carried a 3-2 lead all the way until the top of the sixth where Sealy tied the game again. This forced the game into extra innings, but Weimar ended the game in the bottom of the seventh scoring one run for a final score of 4-3.

In game five of the tournament, Weimar took on Rice for a second time and won the game 13-6. Rice held the early lead with a 3-0 score at the end of the first. Weimar came back in the second inning to tie the game, but Rice broke the tie and carried a 4-3 lead into the third.

In the third inning, Rice scored one run to extend their lead to 5-3. In the fourth inning, Weimar scored five runs and took the lead over Rice with a score of 8-5.

Rice scored their final run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 8-6. Weimar then scored four runs in the fifth inning and one more in the sixth inning to arrive at the final score of 13-6.

In their final game against La Grange Weimar was handed their second loss of the season with a score of 8-4 to end their season.

This Weimar team’s performance this season was admirable and gave Weimar fans a glimpse into a bright future for Weimar baseball.
