WEIMAR — The Stanzel Family Foundation has announced recipients of its annual Teacher-Generated Instructional Grants, continuing a program that has supported classroom learning since 2013.
The grants provide funding for teachers in Weimar ISD, Schulenburg ISD, St. Michael Catholic School and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. This year’s awards will support classroom technology, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) instruction, curriculum materials, novels and books, agricultural mechanics tools and shop equipment, and social-emotional learning resources.
The foundation said the grant program reflects the Stanzel family’s long-standing commitment to education and honors the memory of former board member and educator Ginger Stanzel Bosl, who played an active role in the teacher grant program.
