Habitat for Humanity looking for homes in need of repair

Colorado County Habitat for Humanity is looking for senior cit izens, veterans, persons with disabi l it ies and/or surviving spouses of veterans in need of critical home repairs.

Program requirements: must be a senior citizen 60 years or older, or have a disabi l ity, must be a US mi l itary veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran, must own home and land, must be the owner’s primary residence, must be current on property taxes, mortgages and other obligations, and must been HUD area median income requirements.

This is not an emergency repair program. The process usually takes several months to complete. Repai rs avai lable: home accessibi lity modifications, plumbing, electric, roofing, HVAC or foundation repair.
