COLUMBUS — Southern Oaks Event Center was filled with del ic ious food and friendly competition as the Boys & Girls Club Champion Valley Columbus hosted its annual Taste of Columbus fundraiser Thursday, July 9.
The event, the organizat ion’s largest fundraiser of the year, featured three-member teams from local businesses and organizations competing for top honors in the appetizer and dessert categories. Guests sampled a variety of dishes ranging from sauerkraut balls and tamales to sweet treats whi le visiting with friends and neighbors.
In addition to the food competition, attendees enjoyed live and silent auctions, which drew enthusiastic bidding throughout the evening. Live music by Darrell Appelt kept the crowd entertained and added to the festive atmosphere.

Proceeds from Taste of Columbus benefit the Boys & Girls Club Champion Valley Columbus location, helping support programs and services for local youth.
