Lois Robinson, an 81-year-old citizen of Colorado County, recently became a first-time author with the publication of her book, "How Not to Grow Old," common sense advice for women who are aging but not "old." It focuses on how to refuse to think, live and be defined as old, and it covers the ways people make themselves look and act old way before their time. Robinson spices the book up with humor and stories from her childhood and from her 50-year career in the business world as a shopping center manager. The book is published by Amazon and is available in paperback and also on Kindle. Robinson will be at Nesbitt Memorial Library Monday, July 27 at 2:15 p.m. To read from her book, and give tips to other people interested in self-publishing. Tea and Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookies will be served.
