Rice CISD elementary students will once again begin the school year with school suppl ies provided by the Lorease and Ed Pr iesmeyer Foundation.
District officials announced the donation in a recent social media post, thanking the foundation for its continued support of Rice CISD students.
“We are so grateful for their continued generosity,” the district said. Parents are asked to provide a backpack for each child, along with a lunch kit, if needed. Students also may bring a water bottle to class.
The Lorease and Ed Priesmeyer Foundation is a private charitable organization that has supported Rice CISD and surrounding communities for more than 30 years. In addition to providing school supplies for prekindergarten and elementary students, the foundation has funded college scholarships, dual-credit courses, vocational training, classroom furnishings, educational equipment, welding machines, band uniforms and other educational initiatives.
District officials said the foundation’s longstanding partnership has helped strengthen educational opportunities for generations of Rice CISD students.
