Steve McCollough, the former president of the Columbus Lions Club, recently became the Lions Club District 2-S5 district governor for 2026-2027.
McCollough joined the Columbus Lions Club in 2018 and served as club president, vice president, marking and communications chair and club administrator. At the district level, he served two years as zone chair.
He also received the International President’s Award during the district’s first cabinet meeting for the year July 25 in Bryan for his leadership, service and dedication to Lions Club International.
The last Columbus Lions Club member to serve as district governor was Doug Lilie in 2008.
His wife Grace also served as the secretary for the Columbus Lions Club and will now serve as the 2026-2027 District 2-S5 Secretary.
James Yearwood was selected as the next president of Columbus Lions Club.
