COLUMBUS — The Colorado County Fair Association is accepting entries for its Little Miss, Little Mr. and Junior Miss contests, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, during the Colorado County Fair.
The pageants will be held in Founders Hall at the Colorado County Fairgrounds. The Little Miss and Little Mr. contests begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Junior Miss contest at 6 p.m.
L it t le Miss and Lit t le Mr. contestants must be 5, 6 or 7 years old as of Sept. 1. Junior Miss contestants must be 8, 9 or 10 years old by Sept. 1.
Part icipants must reside in Colorado County or be enrolled in a Colorado County public, private or homeschool program.
Contestants wi l l part icipate in an on-stage interview before a panel of out-of-county judges. Western attire is recommended but not required. Judging will be based 90% on stage personality and 10% on appearance.
Winners are ex pected to represent the Colorado County Fair by riding on the fair float in area parades and participating in fair activities. Parents of winners are also asked to assist with decorating and maintaining the fair float.
The entry fee is $25. Entry forms will be available beginning Aug. 3 at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce off ice, on the Colorado County Fair website or by contacting Shannan at 979732- 0865 or Maria at 832-7711192.
Entries must include a headshot photograph, completed ent ry form and entry fee.
The deadline to enter is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Entries should be returned to the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
