LA GRANGE — Fayette Electric Cooperative and CoBank recently awarded $30,000 in matching grants to four local organizations through the cooperative’s Sharing Success Grant Program, supporting projects that strengthen communities and improve quality of life across the cooperative’s service area.
The grants were announced during Fayette Electric Cooperative’s Annual Membership Meeting held July 15 in La Grange. Through the Sharing Success Program, Fayette Electric Cooperative and CoBank partnered to support community organizations, public service agencies and local initiatives that make a positive impact throughout Central Texas.
This year’s grant recipients include: Shelby Volunteer Fire Department received $5,000 to assist with the purchase of a new pumper truck. Fayette Electric Cooperative provided a $2,500 grant, which CoBank matched.
