Columbus Cardinal students and families can build a plush Cardinal bird at Columbus Elementary School Parents as Teachers’ Build-a-Birdie fundraiser on Monday, Aug. 31, from 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the CES Library.
For $30, participants can build a 16-inch Cardinal plush with its own logoed shirt and create birth certificate for the mascot friend. Parents are also invited to stay afterwards for the CES PTO meeting at 5:30 p.m.
The organization is collecting preorders at zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/ build-a-birdie-fundraiser/. Take home kits are also available for those who cannot attend the event. Orders will close on Friday, Aug. 14, at 4 p.m.
The fundraiser will support the CES PTO’s programs, events and activities throughout the year.
Columbus Elementary School is located at 1324 Bowie St., Columbus.
