High energy first week of practice for Cards

The Columbus Cardinals were back on the gridiron this week preparing for the upcoming 2026 season.

The Cardinals were picked by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football to win the state championship this year and have begun preparing to live up to the hype.

The Cards have been taking the field early in the mornings to beat the Texas heat while following new UIL guidelines and ensuring players have plenty of access to water.
