Colorado County Fair calls creatives for Home Economics Show

The Colorado County Fair wants to showcase local creativity of all mediums in its Home Economics Show to educate and involve the community in the Creative Homemaking Arts.

The judging divisions are Flower Show/Specimen, Clothing and Needlework, Quilt, Handicrafts, Home Improvement, Baked Goods, Canned Foods, Photography and Fine Arts.

The show seeks recognize Colorado County’s cultural richness, provide a competition avenue for all ages to exhibit their talents and provide opportunities to attract non-traditional fair audiences.

Entry forms and tags are available at the Colorado County Extension Office until Friday, Sept. 4. The Extension Office is located at 316 Spring St., Columbus. The entry fee is $2, and exhibitors can submit a maximum of 50 items. Exhibitors must be a county resident.
