Nominations open for historic preservation award

COLUMBUS — The Columbus Historical Preservation Trust is accepting nominations for the 2026 Laura Ann Rau Historic Preservation Award, recognizing efforts to preserve the history and character of Columbus.

The annual award honors a local individual or preservation project for contributions to historic preservation, including restoration of historic properties, protection of local landmarks and other efforts to preserve the community’s history.

Nominations should include a brief statement describing the nominee or project along with photographs. The recipient will receive a $500 cash honorarium.
