The Altai r Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church extended a thank you to the community for helping them retire the church’s mortgage.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, the final payment was made, making the church debt-free.
“I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us reach an important milestone in the life of our church,” Rev. Ed Glover said in a press release. “This blessing lifts a great burden from our congregation and helps us secure the future of our church building.”
Glover said the generosity from the community also helps the church move forward with important needs for the church.
“We can now move forward with other important needs, including improvements to our parking lot and continued church maintenance,” Glover said. “May God bless each of you for your generosity and love.”
There will be a mortgage burning celebration and the church will have more information about that event soon.
