June 30 – Disturbance | 200 Block of W. Main St.
Officer Zepeda responded to an active disturbance in the 200 block of W. Main Street. Upon arrival, Officer Zepeda observed one male subject walking away from another male subject. The disturbance had concluded prior to his arrival, and one male was detained.
Officer Zepeda conducted interviews with both individuals and, following his investigation, determined which subject initiated the altercation. One male suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Colorado County Jail without further incident.
Aug. 15 – Disturbance / Shots Fired | 500 Block of E. Grange St.
Officer Zepeda responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of E. Grange Street. Dispatch reported an altercation in progress and possible shots fired.
Upon arrival, Officer Zepeda spoke with witnesses and confirmed that no injuries had occurred during the altercation. The suspect had reportedly fled the scene by foot and ultimately got into a vehicle two blocks from the scene, which Officer Zepeda subsequently located in the 200 block of E. Post Office Street.
Deputies with the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office and Texas DPS troopers arrived to assist. A male suspect was taken into custody and arrested on charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm, and Possession of Marijuana.
The suspect was transported to the Colorado County Jail without further incident.
Aug. 16 – Stolen Vehicle / Drug Investigation | 700 Block of S. Eagle St.
Officer Kelly received information from DPS through CCSO dispatch regarding a stolen vehicle traveling westbound on IH-10. Officer Kelly noted the vehicle description and subsequently located a vehicle matching the description in the 700 block of S. Eagle Street.
Officer Zepeda, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and DPS troopers responded to assist. Officer Kelly made contact with the male driver and female passenger. During the investigation, Officer Kelly confirmed through dispatch that the vehicle identification number (VIN) matched the information for the reported stolen vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and resulted in the discovery of multiple items of drug paraphernal ia, stolen identification documents, an invalid driver’s license, and controlled substances.
Both suspects were taken into custody on multiple charges and transported to the Colorado County Jail without further incident.
