Fair livestock exhibitors reminded of Saturday cleanup

Colorado County Fair livestock exhibitors are reminded that fairgrounds cleanup will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until work is complete.

Cleanup is required for exhibitors showing bucket calves, cattle, rabbits, broilers, lambs, hogs and goats, as well as Ag Mechanics exhibitors.

All exhibitors must sign in upon arrival and sign out before leaving. Exhibitors who do not participate in cleanup will be charged $300, which will be deducted from their sale check.

Participants are encouraged to bring cleanup equipment, including brooms, dustpans, blowers, trimmers and work gloves.

Parents and guardians must also sign up for all required fair work hours by 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4. Work opportunities remain available. Exhibitor packets will be distributed only after the exhibitor has completed fairgrounds cleanup and signed in and out, and all required family work hours have been scheduled. Fair officials will verify work-hour signups before packets are released.
