St. Anthony Catholic Church will host a blood drive in memory of Vernon Warschak on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the St. Anthony Catholic School.
Warschak relied on frequent blood and platelet transfusions during his battle with acute myeloid leukemia, a blood and bone marrow cancer. These donations allowed Warschak to spend more precious time with family and friends.
Donors will receive a free pair of socks and a complimentary cholesterol screening. All donations will into the general blood supply for all patients in the Texas Gulf Coast region through Gulf Coast Blood.
