Weimar Police Department encourages creative students in grades 2-8 at Weimar Elementary School, Weimar Junior High School and St. Michael’s to enter its holiday card art contest in celebration of National Night Out and the community.
Students in grades 2-4 will enter into the department’s coloring contest, while those in grades 5-8 will design their own holiday- inspired police graphic. Once all entries are in, Weimar PD will chose their favorites from each grade level and post them on Facebook for a community vote. The entry with the most likes from each group will score the chance to pie their favorite school resource officer, WPD officer or WVFD firefighter in the face at National Night Out.
The deadline for entries is Monday, Sept. 21. Coloring pages will come home in students’ school folders for grades 2-4. Students in grades 5-8 will submit their entries to their art teachers.
