The Santa Claus Museum and the Columbus Historical Preservation Trust received a new collection of Christmas and Santa pieces to soon be on display donated by Kim Ly o n an d family.
“As a ‘Christmas Baby’, born December 21, 1938, Ann Earls Lyon’s love of Christmas began early. She collected Santas, Christmas villages and knitted Christmas stockings and sweaters for friends, family and even her UPS delivery man!” CHPT’s announcement quoted. “Every year she held her annual ‘Christmas Bear Luncheon’ for friends and to collect stuffed bears to benefit the United States Marine Corp’s ‘Toy’s for Tot’s’ program. Her greatest gift was her love of family and time spent together, especially at Christmas.”
The Santa Claus Museum is open Fridays from 1–5 p.m. and is located at 604 Washington St., Columbus.
