COLORADO COUNTY — All three cities in Colorado County recorded decreased sales tax allocations with the latest reporting from the State Comptroller office.
COLUMBUS
Columbus leads the way with $167,505.18 in sales tax allocations for the September reporting period.
However, this is a 39.72% decrease from the September 2025 payment of $277,908.41 Columbus has received $1,545,078.16 in sales tax payments for 2026, down 5.42 percent from their 2025 YTD amount of $1,633,709.02.
The City of Columbus has a 1.500% tax rate.
EAGLE LAKE
Eagle Lake’s September sales tax allocation was $32,784.46, down 13.83 percent from the payment of $38,050.35 this time last year.
The YTD payment for Eagle Lake is $313,922,91, down just 1.23% from the 2025 YTD amount of $317,846.46.
The sales tax rate for the City of Eagle Lake is 1.000%.
WEIMAR
The City of Weimar received $58,174.80 for their September sales tax allocation, down 15.57% from the September 2025 payment of $68,906.13.
The YTD payment amount for Weimar is #701,303.09, which is a 7.73% increase from the 2025 YTD amount of $650,965.41.
The City of Weimar’s sales tax rate is 1.500%.
