Sheridan VFD receives $233k grant

Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a $233,548 grant from the Texas A&M Forest Service to purchase a new brush truck. Fire Chief Jason Pausewang said the truck will produce “better fire suppression efforts in the Sheridan Community and assist the other nine fire departments in Colorado County when call upon.”
