Columbus veterans host clay shoot fundraiser

The Columbus Chapter 1127 of Vietnam Veterans of America hosted a fundraising clay shoot “Shoot with the Vets” last month at the Fayette County Gun Club. The funds raised will be dedicated to scholarships and assisting vets in need.

The Columbus Chapter ranked first out of 35 chapters in the amount of total awarded scholarships and donations thanks to local sponsors during the Texas Council State VVA meeting in May. The Columbus Chapter awarded eight scholarships in the past school year.
