Autumn has officially arrived in Columbus, and while the temperatures may still feel more like summer, we are looking forward to some cooler weather and, hopefully, a little much needed rain! October is shaping up to be a busy month for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, with exciting Chamber events, celebrations, family activities and plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy all that Columbus has to offer.
We have several exciting Chamber events happening throughout the month, so mark your calendars and make plans to join your friends, neighbors, local businesses and community organizations as we celebrate the Columbus community.
THURSDAY, OCT. 1 – GRAND OAKS ANTIQUES & GIFTS
Join us Thursday, Oct. 1, at 4:00 PM at Grand Oaks Antiques & Gifts, 1034 Milam Street, as we celebrate their 14th anniversary with a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
Enjoy their anniversary open house from 3–6 p.m., meet their new dealers, browse the shop and enjoy drinks and light bites. Come help us celebrate 14 years of Grand Oaks Antiques & Gifts being part of the Columbus business community!
FRIDAY, OCT. 2 – WC FINDS
Join us Friday, Oct. 2, at 12 p.m. at WC Finds, 1021 Travis Street, as we celebrate their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! WC Finds offers unique gifts, seasonal décor and home décor, including some of The Silver Barn’s former inventory. We’re excited to welcome the Gibson family’s newest venture to the Columbus Chamber and invite you to come celebrate with us!
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 21 – NATIONAL SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DAY
Held annually on the third Wednesday of October, this observance recognizes the important role local chambers play in supporting businesses, encouraging economic growth, promoting tourism and building strong communities.
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is more than an organization supporting local businesses. We are a champion for local businesses, a connector of people and ideas and a partner in building a stronger business community. We are also the Columbus Visitors Center, and tourism is a significant part of what we do. We work to promote our beautiful town, attract visitors, highlight our historic downtown, local businesses, attractions, events and community, and encourage visitors to experience all that Columbus has to offer.
