NEW UTILITY BILLING SYSTEM
The city of Fayetteville announced the move to a new water and sewer utility billing system last week.
For the most part this will be invisible to customers, other than a slight change in appearance in the billing postcards mailed to customers. Residents using the online credit card/ETF bill pay system in the old system will need to create an account in the new system.
The city encourages residents to sign up for paperless billing which will allow them to receive their bill by email.
For assistance or to sign up for paperless billing, call the City Secretary, Sandee Wilkinson, to sign up.
WATER IMPROVEMENTS TO START
The city of Fayetteville announced that work will start on a water improvement project around the end of October and will last for several months. Residents should be notified by the contractor when the work will be in the immediate area.
“This work is necessary for water infrastructure improvements,” the city posted on Friday, Sept. 25. “… We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the City.”
