St. Anthony Catholic School celebrated grandparents during Mass on Sept. 18. Students sat with their families during Mass before grandparents and family members lined up their decorated vehicles for a parade around the perimeter of the school. Students greeted them with signs, smiles and plenty of excitement.
The campus also celebrated Homecoming Week with several dressup days, beginning with “White Out Monday,” followed by “Camo Tuesday” and spirit shirts on Wednesday for the school’s pep rally.
The Saints earned a Homecoming victory Sept. 23 after a back-andforth battle. With the Saints trailing, Cormac Barten connected with Will Glueck on a pass into the end zone for a touchdown. Later in the game, Grayson Wolters came up with an interception to help seal the win.
The Saints followed with another victory Sept. 30, defeating Trinity 2514 in Victoria.
Upcoming events: The St. Anthony Cathol ic Church Picnic will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Columbus Hall. The school’s annual Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24. “Don’t be misled- you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galations 6: 7-9
