The city of Eagle Lake released a new app “My Eagle Lake” powered by GOGov that will connect residents to notifications, events, forms and applications, maps, city resources and more. The app is available to download for free in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
Push notifications would not require creating an account, but text, phone call or email notifications would require registration to store contact information and customize notification settings and groups.
The city currently utilizes a different software, called Beacon, for residents to receive notifications for and pay their water bills, but it does not include the same level of features or notification options. The city will continue to operate Beacon for utility billing. Eagle Lake City Council approved the $4,300 annual cost in late July.
