Big Easy Ranch donates $425k to cancer research

Supported by the annual Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out, Big Easy Ranch and the Billy Brown Charitable Foundation made a $425,000 donation this year to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, bringing the total contributions to $2.7 million since the event’s start in 2018.

“From the 18-hole golf tournament on The Covey and 10-station sporting clays competition to the wine dinner, live auction, and raffle, the Big Easy Ranch Shoot Out is about so much more than a day at the Ranch. It’s about coming together for a cause that touches each and everyone of us,” the ranch wrote in its announcement.

Big Easy Ranch owner Billy Brown presented the check to Dr. Michael Curran, PhD, of MD Anderson’s Department of Immunology, to support research and innovation of cancer treatment approaches.
