The Rotary Club of Columbus held its annual Hunter’s Stew and Raffle on Sept. 29 at the Columbus Hall. The proceeds from the event go to the Rotary Club’s annual scholarship fund and various other community projects. The organization said at least three, possibly four, scholarships will be awarded in spring 2027, a new record.
“We want to thank our many sponsors for their very generous support of this event which made it one of the most successful fundraisings in the Club’s history,” the organization said in a press release. “We also want to thank the many volunteers who set up, cut vegetables and served but most importantly for the two chefs who cooked the wonderful stew.”
The Rotary Club of Columbus is chartered by Rotary International, a worldwide service organization with several local and international service areas. To learn more or join, email rotary.columbus.tx@gmail. com or simply be a guest for lunch at Schobels restaurant on Tuesdays at noon.
