Hunters in Texas may be required to obtain an official hunter education certificate before deer season begins on Nov. 4. Any person born after September 1, 1971 requires this certification card to hunt in the state.
Friends of the Weimar Public Library will offer a second Hunter Safety Certification Class for those who were unable to attend the course in July. The course is scheduled in two evening sessions. The sessions will be offered on Oct. 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Weimar ISD cafeteria.
