FREDRICKSBURG—The 2019 Peach Season is now underway not far from Colorado County in Fredricksburg.

Roadside markets and orchards around Fredericksburg and Stonewall are now open with a new crop of delicious Texas Hill Country peaches. Many of the markets also have fresh blackberries and other produce available- making this the perfect time to head to the Texas Hill Country for a peach getaway.

Find fresh Texas Hill Country peaches at orchards and roadside markets clustered along Highway 290 between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, and along Highway 87, south of Main Street in Fredericksburg. In addition, the Fredericksburg Visitor Information Center, located at 302 East Austin Street (one block off Main Street), offers a brochure showing locations of Gillespie County peach orchards and roadside markets. Hours of the Visitor Information Center are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays; and 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
