COLUMBUS — The Live Oak Art Center is seeking art from Colorado County residents for its Magnolia Days Festival Art Exhibit, set for display May 18 at the Pocket Park next to Columbus State Bank on the square in downtown Columbus.

Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Judging of artwork for inclusion in the exhibit will be done by Live Oak Art Center Executive Director Shawn Roberts. Final adjudication will be done by those attending the exhibit, and the People’s Choice Awards will be given in youth and adult divisions.

Artists may submit three artworks and must include one image (.jpg) for each piece with up to three images per piece allowed to show details.

All pieces should be fit for public display.

Entries may be any medium, including painting, photography, sculpture, clay and works on paper. All works of art must be no larger than 72” x 72” and, if chosen, must be completed and ready to hang. All works must hang by a wire—small v-shaped hangers are not permitted.

Sculpture must be no larger than 3’ x 3’ at the base and no more than 10’ high. Please do not submit works that hang from the ceiling or by large bolts, or sculpture that weigh more than 100 pounds.

Submissions must include the following for each piece submitted: name of artist, name of atwork, artwork mediaum (i.e., photoraphy, acrylic, oil, watercolor, sculpture), sale price (or insurance value if not for sale), artist contact information (phone, email).

Deadline for submission of digital photos of artwork is May 1.

Notification of inclusion will be made by May 4. Selected artwork should be delivered to the LOAC May 15-17. Submissions should be sent to the attention of Shawn Roberts at liveoakartcenter@sbcglobal. net. Please include “2019 Magnolia Days Art Exhibit Submission” as email subject.
