COLUMBUS—Colorado County fans of Texas country music legend Randy Rogers have the opportunity to hear him in concert this Friday at a sold-out show at Blake Street in Columbus.

Rogers, who typically performs with his Randy Rogers Band, will be delivering an acoustic show at Blake Street.

“It is an intimate, kind of story-telling show,” Rogers told The Citizen last week.

“We will bring our guitar player, Jeffrey Hill, who has been with me going on 18 years, so it is the authentic Randy Rogers Band acoustic show—new stuff, old stuff—I’ll try to remember all of the old songs and requests,” he said.

Rogers is touring in advance of a new record, Hell Bend. “So we’re gearing up for that,” Rogers said. “Acoustic shows help me play that and get familiar with some of the newer material,” he said.

“I love playing acoustic and playing with our guitar player, Jeff. I did it a lot in our younger years. It takes me back to my roots and I enjoy it quite a bit,” he said.

Rogers said he is looking forward to coming to Columbus. “Let’s have a party,” he said.
