The Colorado County Commissioners Court and Columbus City Council recently approved proclamations naming the first week in June as National Garden Week. Columbus Garden Club observes the National Garden Week the first week in June. The club again gathered flowers from members’ yards along with purchasing special flowers and making flower arrangements to take to nursing homes, Columbus Community Hospital, county and city offices, and other community offices and individuals. It is one more way the garden club expresses appreciation to the community and promotes beautiful gardens.
