Debbie Leopold retiring after 21 years in food service

Debbie Capak Leopold will retire May 31 after 21 years at Rice Independent School District. She is the wife of Patrick (Ricky) Leopold from Nada.

She started working at Garwood Elementary in 1998. Debbie has been an honest and hardworking employee, school employees said.

The students have benefited from her planning menus that have met their nutritional needs. As manager of the Garwood cafeteria, Leopold’s ratings have consistently been excellent as rated by the Texas Health Department.

Her knowledge of our students and their families played a huge part in her ability to provide good service to our students.

Leopold has requested that the public may honor her retirement by sending cards and letters to the school on her behalf.
