COLUMBUS — Things are moving for Colorado County’s government offices — literally.

The Colorado County Election Office has temporarily relocated to Suite 111 in the Colorado County Annex, 318 Spring St., said Rebecka LaCourse, the county’s election administrator, in a prepared release.

For the November 2023 Constitutional Amendment /Emergency Services District No. 1 election, early voting will be at 316 Spring St. in the Ag Building.

For those physically unable to enter the polling place without personal assistance or the likelihood of injuring one’s health, curbside voting will be relocated to the front of the Ag building on Spring Street, LaCourse said.

Early voting runs from Oct. 23Nov. 3. The election office during the last two days of early voting will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Election Day is Nov. 7.

“These changes to the Colorado County elections are temporary and we expect to be in our new home, 1117 Travis St. … by 2024 with permanent location and voting information to be announced,” LaCourse said.

Meanwhile, the Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 office has moved into the county annex, Suite 101 — where elections/early voting had been held, “This is a permanent move,” La-Course said.
