GFL Environmental to pick up storm debris in Eagle Lake

July 09, 2024 - 21:13

Beginning on Thursday, July 11, GFL Environmental will be sending trucks throughout the City of Eagle Lake to begin storm clean up with the brush and debris scattered as a result of Hurricane Beryl.

The storm debris pickup will continue for one week to allow residents to gather and put their debris and branches at the curb. Regular pickup will continue on Wednesday, July 10 as GFL will use that time to assess where the brush piles will need to be picked up from.

The city has asked that residents refrain from placing garbage containers or parking vehicles in front of the debris piles. Eagle Lake is also requesting that stacks be left in a way that will prevent them from falling over into the street.

For questions, contact City Hall at 979-234-2640.
