New officer sworn in at Weimar Police

WEIMAR — The Weimar Police Department increased its forces after swearing in Jason Ellis to its ranks on Monday, Feb. 19.

“We are thrilled to have him join our team,” WPD Chief Mark Jameson said.

Ellis is a graduate of the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy and earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston in Victoria.

Officer Ellis joins the force the La Porte Police Department and brings with him over six years of experience.
