COLUMBUS – On Monday, May 15, Neuendorff’s Water Well Service, Inc. and Weishuhn Engineering, Inc. turned on a commercial water well at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley Columbus location, 1368 Hwy 71 Business.

The commercial water well was donated by Todd and Morgan Barten. The building that occupies the water well was also donated by the Bartens in 2018.

“Giving back to the community we live and work in is essential to us,” Morgan Barten said. “We are proud to be long standing supporters of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley.”

In addition to Neuendorff’s Water Well Service Inc and Weishuhn Engineering, businesses used to facilitate the well include Glueck Concrete, Inc., Girndt Electric, and SK Fabrication LLC.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley said Ryan Beane has generously helped to provide the water for the club up until this point. The board expresses its gratitude for the continuous provision of water and to the Bartens for their donation of the well. This development will help to make the Boys and Girls Club self-sufficient. The club currently has about 100 local youth.

The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley is to “enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” The Boys and Girls Clubs of Champion Valley has additional locations in Schulenburg and Weimar.
