Colorado Valley Quilt Guild welcomes Diane Rose

LA GRANGE — Diane Rose will be a guest presenter at the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild, 653 E. Pearl St., on Jan. 24 at 10 a.m.

Rose, also known as the “Amazing Quilter,” has been blind since 1984. She taught herself quilting in 1989 and has made over 1,100 quilts. She has sold quilts to Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and President George W. Bush.

Rose will demonstrate her quilting techniques and have boutique items and notions for sale during her presentation. Attendees who would like to purchase from her are asked to bring either cash or a check.

The guild meetings are open to the public and held at the Randolph Recreation Center, Room A East, on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months.
