The John Everett Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution honored four high school students with a Good Citizens Award at their Feb. 12 meeting.

Good Citizens Committee Chair, Jana Semler of Schulenburg had the winners introduce themselves and their guests.

“The DAR Good Citizens program recognizes high school seniors who display outstanding qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities,” Semler said.

Each school’s DAR Good Citizen received a DAR Good Citizens lapel pin, certificate, graduation cord, and $50 from the Chapter.

Each of these bright, accomplished and very busy young women spoke to the Chapter about her activities and aspirations, highlighting her personal qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. All four of this year’s winners will be entering Texas A&M in the fall.
