At approximately 5 p.m., Columbus Volunteer Fire Department reported the dry rice fire under control. There is still smoke in the area.  Currently there are multiple fire departments on scene at another very large grass fire on FM 806. This fire was caused by lightning. Please avoid the area at all cost.
