“We are grateful for our partnerships with businesses and civic groups as they allow us to complete the hard work in less time while also getting more people involved in our mission of building quality homes for working families,” Board member Doris Klaus said.

Later, First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake came out to paint with their Pastor Joshua Turpin.

“I recently had the opportunity to visit a number of homes in our county and my heart broke to see the substandard even unsafe living conditions that many of our neighbors suffer under. I was so glad to discover that our local Habitat for Humanity is working to address this pressing need in our community for safe, affordable housing. Our church has had a wonderful time volunteering with Habitat and I pray that other groups and communities of faith will join us in this effort,” Pastor Turpin said.

Habitat for Humanity said their build days are Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. - noon. Volunteers and donors are always needed and welcomed by Colorado County Habitat for Humanity.
