Governor Greg Abbott extended early voting for the state of Texas, citing continued challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Any registered voter may vote early by personal appearance (in person).
Early voting will begin Tuesday, Oct. 13, and run through Friday, Oct. 30. There will be a local Joint Election with cities and schools that were postponed from May 2.
For the voter’s convenience, all races you qualify to vote in will be on one ballot.
Ballot by Mail Voters
Colorado County has invested in an Intelligent Mail® Barcode system. This allows the ability to track individual mailed ballots through the USPS and provides greater mail stream visibility. This is just another level of security provided to voters to ensure that ballots can be accounted for when going through the mail system. If there is ever a question of when a ballot was mailed or delivered don’t hesitate to contact the elections office. Upon receiving your ballot in the mail please vote the ballot and follow the enclosed instructions and return as soon as possible. Return postage is required. Only one stamp is necessary.
