Grand Oaks Antiques and Gifts has just completed a beautiful facelift on the front of their store at 1034 Milam Street, just off the Courthouse Square in downtown Columbus. Opened in 2012, Grand Oaks is made up of 23 separate dealers, each with a keen insight of what’s popular in the categories of antiques, vintage, home decor, baby apparel, costume jewelry, knick-knacks and more.
In honor of the new façade, and to welcome two new dealers into the store, owner Beth Easterling has asked the Columbus Chamber of Commerce to conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. New dealers include: Free Range Chics (who have relocated from their Spring Street location) and Nancy’s Antiques.
Some of the other popular dealers in the store are Chickens and all that Jazz (Bobbie Hajek), Homestyle (Ilene Schindler), Kathryn’s Antiques (Kathryn Haluska), Marva...lous Mix (Marvadean Zatopek), Polly’s Pocket (Polly Barten), The Ritzy Rabbit (Arlene Nelson), The Roost (Rhonda Garcia) and Watkins Products (Ruth Kunz), just to name a few.
The ribbon cutting ceremony and new dealer welcoming celebration are open to the public. There will be special one-day sales throughout the store all day. Mimosas and pumpkin muffins will be served in the morning, and wassail and tasty nibbles will be served in the afternoon. Door prizes will also be awarded to a few lucky guests.
